The association “Future for the Commons” (VFC), which is managed by seecon, has organised the “City-Energy-Traffic” series of congresses since 2010, which looks at sustainable development of cities at the interface between energy, mobility, consumption and public space. The VFC, together with its partners - the Swiss Energy Foundation (SES), the Swiss Transport and Travel Club (VCS), and Sanu Future Learning AG - utilises the congress to present current topics for an interdisciplinary audience of people from management, business and politics. In 2011, for instance, at the congress “2000-Watt-Start” in Basel there was controversial debate about how, in practice, to go about achieving the 2000-watt society. In its management role for the “Future for the Commons” association, seecon undertakes all the event organisation, from canvassing sponsors, to developing the programme, right through to media relations.
