Leonellha Barreto-Dillon Senior Partner

Leonellha Barreto-Dillon graduated as a Chemical Engineer from the “Simón Bolivar University” in Caracas-Venezuela, her homeland. During her studies in Environmental Engineering at the Hamburg University of Technology she became acquainted with wastewater technologies and ecosan. She gathered further knowledge and experiences when she worked as Project Developer and Project Manager, for instance at the TTZ Bremerhaven. For more than five years, she was successfully involved in the development of projects and writing of proposals for the European Commission’s Funding Programmes. Since 2009 she is partially working in Pune, India, supporting our sister organisation Ecosan Services Foundation (ESF) in the development and implementation of sustainable sanitation programs, particularly for the urban poor. Furthermore, she acts as a lecturer in the “Sustainable Sanitation and Water Management” training courses in Asia, coordinates the acquisition activities and is part of the Management Team. As a Project Manager in seecon, Leonellha supports the development of the Sustainable Sanitation and Water Management (SSWM) Programme, especially for Latin America.
