Aleix Ferrer-Duch Project Assistant

Aleix Ferrer-Duch holds a diploma degree in biology and a M.A.& M. Sc. in sustainable development. He has experience in environmental education teaching energy, sustainable consumption and natural cycles. For several years he worked as a research assistant in waste water treatment with Swiss Tropical and Public Health in Thailand; he worked on fish at University of Basel, on skin cancer at University of Bonn and on rattlesnake venom at Loma Linda University, USA. For seecon he worked on the pilot project Tropenhaus Wolhusen in Ruswil. His expertise led him to the start-up “UrbanFarmers” where he cultivated fish and vegetables consolidated in an ecological cycle. He also has work experience as a project coordinator in development cooperation at NCCR North South and in projects on urban development in Costa Rica and Thailand. Aleix Ferrer-Duch connects his scientific field of expertise with social topics such as littering, social space, integrations and sustainable tourism. Currently, he is doing a professional training in consulting of organizations and change management. In his private life, he enjoys discovering the nature with his kids.
