“Platform Stotzigwald” was established in 2002 to involve the various stakeholders together in developing sustainable solutions for forest and game animal management in the forest area called Stotzigwald in the Canton of Uri. The stakeholder platform, managed and moderated by seecon, was successful in developing a shared understanding of the problems and objectives, as well as an action plan to restore and preserve the Stotzig Forest. In this way important measures in the areas of forestry, hunting, habitat management, agriculture and public relations could be jointly realised. Participants in the process regarded the platform as a capable instrument for working through mutual problem solving.
